Orange Beach Alabama

Orange Beach is one of two Alabama resorts on the Gulf of Mexico. Orange Beach is located on the east side of an island that is formed by an intracoastal waterway that runs from Mobile Bay on the west to Wolf Bay on the east.

Orange Beach is flanked on the west by Gulf Shores, Alabama's other resort. Together, Orange Beach and Gulf Shores offer 32 miles of contiguous white-sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.

In Orange Beach, vessels access the Gulf via Perdido Pass. A large charter fishing fleet in Orange Beach makes the resort an excellent fishing destination. Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is one of Alabama's 10 natural wonders. It is one of the largest undeveloped land parcels on the coast.

Thunder on the Gulf, the annual powerboat race is held in Orange Beach in the month of August. Another popular Orange Beach event is the National Shrimp Festival, held in the month of October. Orange Beach attractions include the Orange Beach Indian & Sea Museum and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.
