Athens Georgia is the home of the University of Georgia and the Georgia Bulldogs. The influence of the school throughout the Athens community visible through the presence of historical homes, art galleries and sports museums. Wray-Nicholson House, headquarters of the UGA Alumni Association, was built in 1825 and is the centerpiece of a historic complex. T. R. R.

Cobb, a UGA graduate, was chief author of the Confederate Constitution. His antebellum home, now restored, is a musesum that features Civil War exhibits.

Taylor-Grady House, the collegiate home of Henry W. Grady, originator of the view of the New South, is a 1844 Greek Revival structure.

Lamar Dodd School of Art Gallery is a showcase for revolving professional, faculty and student artwork. Tate Student Center Gallery displays rotating exhibits of international, local and student artwork. This gallery is administered by UGA Student Activities.

Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall and Sports Museum is the home of Georgia Bulldog sports. Named for two former University of Georgia coaches, the museum also houses Athens Olympic exhibits. ITA Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame located on UGA's South Campus has inducted over 150 tennis players, coaches and contributors. Inductees include Arthur Ashe and Jimmy Connors.

Foundry Park Inn & Spa, Athens' finest hotel, pays tribute to UGA with meeting room decor reminiscent of the the school's colors. This boutique inn and spa, which is a part of the Utell Superior Selection, is known for pampering its guests and offering them a rewarding escape for rejuvenation.
