The hunting season, which runs from November through March, opens with the Blessing of the Hounds. Adventure seekers can follow the hunt horseback riders in tally-ho wagons.
Pine Top Farm Equestrian Center in Thomson hosts regular equestrian events. This 500-acre center includes cross-country courses, hunter/jumper rings and sand dressage arenas. The center also provides stabling for 150 horses.
